Community testing for COVID-19

Community testing is currently being offered for Swadlincote residents to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19.

South Derbyshire District Council is supporting Derbyshire County Council, the military and partners in offering the testing sessions.

The first centre, at Grove Hall, Swadlincote, is open on 21, 22 and 23 December, from 9am to 7pm (last admission 6.15pm). It will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Sunday 27 December, reopening at 9am on Monday 28 December.

From 28 December until 29 January, it will be open from 9am to 7pm during the week (last admission 6.15pm) and 9am to 4pm at weekends (last admission 3.15pm). It will be closed on 1 January (New Year’s Day).

Two further centres, Midway Community Centre and Gresley Old Hall, will both open on 29 December.

They will also open from 9am to 7pm weekdays, and 9am to 4pm weekends, but are similarly closed on 1 January 2021 (New Year’s Day). Both these centres will close on 12 February.
