Business enthusiasts seeking a new challenge are being encouraged to embark on an entrepreneurial journey at a free event in South Derbyshire.

The Thinking of Starting a Business event is aimed at people who are contemplating running their own business or have recently become self-employed.

South Derbyshire Business Advice Service will focus on the essentials required to be ‘business ready’. Attendees can expect to get a better understanding of topics such as legal structures, tax, insurance, finding premises, marketing, skills to support a new venture and finance, including grants and loans to get started.

Cllr Martyn Ford, Leader of South Derbyshire District Council, said:

“This event is perfect for those wanting to be their own boss or people who have recently become self-employed. It’s a great opportunity for individuals and businesses to delve into the wealth of skills, expert advice and guidance that’s on offer during the event.

“These events have helped hundreds of new businesses get started on the right foot, from car valeting to manufacturing. We hope that your venture will be the next success story.”

Budding entrepreneurs looking to make all the right moves are invited to Sharpe’s Pottery Museum, West Street, Swadlincote, Derbyshire, DE11 9DG  from 5:30pm – 8:00pm on Wednesday 9th October 2019.
