Apply for a Green Homes Grant

Green Homes Grants (Phase 3)

South Derbyshire District Council has been awarded funding by central government to help residents make their homes more energy efficient and reduce their energy bills.

We are working with local charity Marches Energy Agency (MEA) to verify eligibility & process applications.

All applicants, regardless of eligibility, will have the option to benefit from their Warmer Derby & Derbyshire service which offers free impartial advice on energy efficiency, billing, fuel debt, and more. They can also check to see if there are alternative funding schemes appropriate for you.

We have selected Trustmark registered installer, Westville Insulation Ltd, to deliver these energy saving measures.

The following schemes are open for applications:

Local Authority Delivery (LAD 3)
Grants for loft and cavity wall insulation are available to any home in South Derbyshire meeting the below eligibility criteria.

Home Upgrade Grant (HUG 1)
Only available to homes that are off gas ( i.e. do not have a gas boiler) AND meet the below eligibility criteria

Due to limited funding, HUG1 is not open to the wider public at the moment. A number of residents in South Derbyshire will be invited to apply for this scheme via a letter.

Measures offered will depend on the outcome of the technical survey, but will likely include heating and/or insulation measures.
