Tenant consultation on rent accounts
Our Housing team has reviewed its Income Management Policy in the light of changes to the Welfare Benefit system and have introduced smarter and more cost-efficient ways for tenants to manage their rent accounts.
The reviewed policy emphasises partnership working with our internal and external colleagues as well as identifying vulnerable tenants and how we can do our best to support them with the transition from legacy benefit to Universal Credit, managing their mental health and more. This all leads to an increase in sustained tenancies, meaning an increase to rental income and improved tenant wellbeing.

We are inviting all South Derbyshire District Council tenants to tell us what they think of the Policy by
