Pre Submission Local Plan Part 1 Review

South Derbyshire's Local Plan Part 1 2022-2041 (Publication Version) consultation ran between 1oth March 2025 and Friday 25th April 2025.

The consultation sought views on:

• South Derbyshire's Local Plan Part 1 Review 2022-2041 (Publication Version)
• The Plan’s Sustainability Appraisal
• Consultation Statement 
• Habitats Regulation Assessment

Representations at this stage were to focus on the grounds of legal compliance and soundness as set out in the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). The representations received will be considered by an independent Planning Inspector at an Examination in Public (date to be set).

What happens next

All comments will be made available to view on South Derbyshire District Councils online portal (the link to which is below), shortly after the consultation has finished.

The comments, along with technical evidence the Council is collecting, will be submitted to the Secretary of State and considered as part of a public examination by an independent Planning Inspector.
