The South Derbyshire Talent Academy

The South Derbyshire Talent Academy launched in July 2022 to replace the Sports Pass and Grant scheme.

Active South Derbyshire, in partnership with South Derbyshire District Council, Derbyshire Institute of Sport and Active Nation offer a scheme of support aimed at encouraging the development of sporting excellence in South Derbyshire.

The South Derbyshire Talent Academy is designed to aid talented local sports people to realise their potential, whether it be at County, Regional, National, or International level.

Depending on their level of achievement to date, individual applicants will be eligible for one or all of the following:

1. An annual Leisure Centre Pass, which allows free use of certain facilities for training purposes at Green Bank (Swadlincote) and Etwall Leisure Centres.

2. An invitation to a programme of free workshops hosted by the Derbyshire Institute of Sport’s world-class coaching team. Topics include Performance Nutrition, Physiotherapy and Injury Prevention, Strength and Conditioning and Performance Psychology.

The schemes full terms and conditions can be downloaded HERE (pdf, 2.1mb)

Applications should be made using the form below, please note only applications made between the 1st and 31st July will be considered.
