Annual Canvass 2025

The Annual Canvass for 2025 will be starting shortly. This is the process where the Council contacts every household in the District to check we've got the right information on the Electoral Register.
As residents of the District, you will receive an email or letter asking if your household's details on the Electoral Register are correct. If you are required to respond, there will be an option to do so online, by telephone, by text, or by returning a paper form. All you need to do is follow the instructions, and you will be ready to have your say in future elections. Being on the Electoral Register may also improve your credit rating.
The website address for making online responses is www.householdresponse.com/south-derbys
The Council is committed to reducing its impact on the environment and therefore it will be using and encouraging online methods of contact where possible. Online contact reduces costs by reducing postage, paper and processing time.
Emails will be sent from elections@canvass.southderbyshire.gov.uk with the subject “Electoral Registration – Are your details correct?”
The email will also be addressed to the recipient by name.
