Exciting new play area at Eureka Park coming soon!

Work on a major new play area for Eureka Park is due to start soon and we want to hear what you think about our final designs.

Following the approval of £280,000 at Full Council in February 2024, the process to revamp the District’s play areas began and work has been carried out in several district parks already.

An initial public consultation was held last year to ask people what they wanted to see in the new Eureka park play areas.

The new play areas feature an accessible group swing, accessible roundabout and inclusive seesaw as well as interactive features and lots of areas for children to climb, jump and explore.

Work on installation of the new play areas will start this September.

To comment on the final designs, please email parksandgreenspaces@southderbyshire.gov.uk. There is a larger image showing the final designs on the right column of this page.

These new play areas are in addition to ongoing improvements including work at Oversetts Recreation Ground and the creation of a Bevin Boys Memorial Garden in Eureka Park.
