Love Parks Week 2025 is here!
Not only do we have six Green Flag Award winning parks in South Derbyshire, we also have a dedicated events and Parks team who put on some fantastic events, groups, community walks, litter picks, workshops, classes and gatherings all year round, using the fantastic green spaces we are blessed with.
Love Parks Week starts right here on Friday 25 July and ends on Sunday 3 August.
- Today (Friday 25 July) there is a Family Fun Day at Rosliston Forestry Centre from 10am till 2pm. And don't forget, our brand new SparrowHawk Adventure Playground is ready and waiting for all little adventurers!
- Tonight (Friday 25 July) Nightwatch - and tonight at Rosliston Forestry Centre, our Environmental Education Project team is hosting its fasconating and fun Nightwatch Event, from 7pm till late.

Tuesday 29 July, 11am till 1pm - Miners Memorial Garden Event in Eureka Park - A family-friendly event exploring the history and heritage of the Miners’ Memorial Garden. Free entry!

Wednesday 30 July, from 1.30pm till 4pm, Music in the Forest at Rosliston Forestry Centre - Connect with nature with live music amongst the trees. Free entry!

Thursday 31 July, from 1.30pm till 3.30pm, Beautiful Butterflies Guided walk at Cadley Park, butterfly spotting & crafts, FREE and no booking needed!

Thursday 31 July, Free Skateboarding Coaching at Swadlincote Skate Park! Suitable for ages 5+.
- Beginners (under 8) from 1pm till 2.30pm
- 2.30pm till 4pm, beginners (over 8) & experienced skaters.
