Recycling: Lets Get Sorting!
Did you know that recycling in the UK saves around 10-15 million tonnes of carbon emissions a year, the equivalent of taking 3.5 million cars off the road? Recycling also prevents waste from being dumped in landfill; over a million British homes are within half a mile of a landfill site, and living near a landfill could knock over £5,000 off the value of your house.
Recycling is more important than ever, but it’s also important we get it right. Below is information on recycling in South Derbyshire, so you and your household can get sorting and reduce household waste!
