Swadlincote Post Office opens in bigger town centre premises

Swadlincote Post Office has opened at its new High Street location, offering longer opening hours and the same range of services for local residents.

The branch has moved from 8 Midland Road to Bonkers, 43C High Street, Swadlincote, DE11 8JE, following a relocation by existing Postmaster Javed Iqbal.

The new premises, based in the former Shoe Zone store, provide a larger town centre space with three full-screened Post Office counters alongside a discount retail store.

The relocated Post Office opened on Monday 19 May and continues to offer the same range of products and services as before.

New opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5.30pm, and Sunday, 10am to 4pm.

This means the branch now provides 57 hours of Post Office service each week, an increase of 10 hours and 30 minutes. The extended hours include Saturday afternoons and all-day Sunday opening, giving residents more flexibility when accessing Post Office services.

The move keeps Swadlincote Post Office in the town centre while providing improved facilities and longer opening times for customers.
