Beware of Rogue Callers


South Derbyshire District Council has been made aware of rogue callers operating in the area, claiming to be from the Council. These individuals may attempt to gain access to properties or obtain personal information under false pretences.


We urge all tenants and residents to remain vigilant:

  • Always ask for official identification from anyone claiming to represent the Council.

  • Do not allow anyone into your home unless you are certain of their identity.

  • If in doubt, close the door and contact the Council directly to verify whether a visit has been arranged.

  • Report any suspicious activity immediately to the Council and, if you feel threatened or unsafe, contact the police.
