Swadlincote Jobs Fair - Thursday 21 May 2026 at Green Bank Leisure Centre
The Department for Work and Pensions working with South Derbyshire District Council and other local partners are holding a Jobs Fair on Thursday 21 May 2026 between 10am – 12:30pm in the Main Hall at Green Bank Leisure Centre (Civic Way, Swadlincote, DE11 0AD).
The event is free of charge and open to all to drop in and find out what is on offer.
The event will offer training opportunities, access to support agencies, apprenticeships and job vacancies from a range of employers.
Many full and part time vacancies will be on offer, with roles including administration, education, sales, customer service, hospitality, care, catering, cleaning, production and warehouse operatives.
Employers looking for staff include Derbyshire Fire & Rescue, Derbyshire Constabulary, Proman (Toyota), Connect FIbre, Gement (Construction Workers), Right at Home, Bradcare, Prestige Nursing and Care, Derbyshire County Council, South Derbyshire District Council and 159 Regiment.
South Derbyshire Business Advice Service will be providing advice for anyone thinking of becoming self-employed. The Service can also help anyone starting out in business to apply for any grants or loans that they are eligible for.
A free service Active Futures is a project to support you to build your skills, confidence and increase their physical activity levels. Join for a free six-week programme and transform your everyday.
Last year’s jobs fair in Swadlincote attracted over 300 people looking for work, with excellent feedback from jobseekers and employers alike. Over 67 jobseekers completed a job application on the day and 43 were signed up for training opportunities, 13 jobseekers left the event with an interview or Job offer before leaving.
