Have your say on the draft Private Sector Housing Assistance Policy

The Council receives a capital allocation each year from national government to deliver mandatory Disabled Facility Grants (DFGs), which help to meet the cost of adapting a property for the needs of a Disabled person. This funding is available for all eligible households in properties which are not owned by the council. Our survey details the main changes in our Private Sector Assistance Policy, which provides guidance on how these grants are to be delivered, and asks for your views on these changes. This consultation will close on Sunday 18^th January 2026. All comments will then be reviewed and a final document will be approved for sign off.
