Public Inquiry at Land South of Kings Newton

A Public Inquiry is taking place following the refusal of an application for planning permission at Land South of Kings Newton Lane.

Application ref. DMPA/2025/0428 was submitted in March 2025. The application was refused planning permission and the applicants then submitted a planning appeal to the Planning Inspectorate. An inspector has been appointed to decide the appeal.

The Inquiry will sit from 11 - 14 and 18 - 21 November 2025, at South Derbyshire District Council offices, Civic Way, Swadlincote, DE11 0AH. There are no sessions 18-20 November 2025. Closing Statements will be heard virtually over teams on Friday 21^st November. Members of the Public and anyone interested in the appeal can join the Teams session within the Council Chamber. The session will commence at 9:30am.
