Findern Neighbourhood Development Plan

We are currently receiving a high number of planning applications which is resulting in delays to our usual response times. We are determining applications and responding to enquiries in the order they are received. We will respond as soon as possible.

The Findern Neighbourhood Development Plan Regulation 16 consultation commenced on 25th March 2026 and was due to close on Friday 8th May 2026. The consultation has now been extended until 5pm Friday 19th June 2026.

During the initial consultation new legalisation for Neighbourhood Plans was introduced which required changes to the Neighbourhood Plan Basic Conditions Statement, regarding the impact of the Neighbourhood Plan on housing, climate change and nature. Consequently, a new Basic Conditions Statement has been produced which replaces the previous Basic Conditions Statement.

As a result of these changes and to ensure compliance with the six week minimum consultation period required under Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, the consultation period has been extended to 5pm Friday 19th June 2016.

All comments received between 25th March and 19th June 2026 will be considered by an independent examiner appointed by the planning authority. If you have already submitted a response, there is no need to submit a further response, unless you wish to comment further in light of the additional information provided.

The Findern Neighbourhood Development Plan proposes a variety of policies including on housing, heritage assets, green spaces, footpaths, cycle routes and renewable energy.
