Adverse weather affecting bin collections

Due to the current adverse weather conditions, and the continued forecast of snow, ice and sudden temperature changes, there may be some disruption to bin collections over the coming days, particularly on side roads and estate roads where black ice can form quickly.

The safety of our residents, crews and the wider public is our absolute priority. In some locations it may not be safe for vehicles or staff to access roads or carry out collections until conditions improve.

If your scheduled collection falls between Wednesday 7 January and Friday 9 January 2026 and your bin is not collected, please leave it presented at the usual collection point. We will aim to return and collect as soon as it is safe to do so, which may include collections on Saturday 10 January 2026.
