Battery Recycling

NEVER bin batteries. Batteries that are not disposed of properly can cause fires - be this in your home, your bins, our bin trucks, or landfill sites. 

Retailers that sell batteries – from pharmacies to supermarkets – provide battery recycling boxes. Check with your local retailers if they have battery recycling boxes, either on their website or by contacting them directly. 

The Council's Civic Office building in Swadlincote also has a battery recycling box in reception where you can dispose of your batteries safely.
