Swadlincote Christmas Market and Small Business Saturday Market

Swadlincote Christmas Market and Small Business Saturday Market

Shop local and relax this Christmas! Rather than endure the frantic bustle of city shopping centres, traffic jams, queues and frenzied crowds, why not enjoy a wander around Swadlincote. Soak up the festive atmosphere while discovering the numerous independent shops and stalls offering unique gifts and a friendly service. Entry to the markets and to take part in the treasure hunt is free.

Swadlincote Christmas Market - A great opportunity for Christmas shopping, with the chance to stock up on festive gifts, crafts, food and drink ahead of the holiday season. There will be children’s activities, plus a free bouncy castle and face painting. During the day enjoy live entertainment with performances of seasonal classics.

Small Business Saturday Market - Let’s help our local small and independent businesses to thrive in Swadlincote. Together with the shops on the High Street there will be a Small Business Market at the Church Street end with a variety of gifts, foods, goods and services on offer with the chance to meet the business owners face to face. Swadlincote’s Small Business Saturday Market is part of Small Business Saturday, the national campaign to celebrate, support and promote small businesses on the first Saturday in December each year.

Santa’s Christmas Shopping Spree - Help Santa find Christmas presents for Mrs Claus in this year’s Treasure Hunt. Pick up an entry form from the SwadStyle stand at the Small Business Market (at the Church Street end of the High Street) and explore the town centre’s shop window displays to find all the items on Santa’s List. Every completed entry will receive a Christmas treat and all entries will be entered into a prize draw to win fabulous prizes.
