Burials and burial records
For many of those making funeral arrangements the services of a funeral director will be used.
We work closely with funeral directors to ensure the funeral is carried out in accordance with the family's wishes.
However, should you wish to be more personally involved in all aspects of arranging a funeral, an independent funeral option may be considered.
To make funeral arrangements personally, please contact the Burials & Services Officer for further advice. As part of the process you will be required to complete our Notice of Interment Form (pdf, 221kb)
An experienced officer attends each funeral to ensure it is carried out in a safe, dignified and professional manner.
Following a funeral you can provide comments on the service provided by completing our Feedback Form.
Burial records
More than 10,000 burial records regarding our six cemeteries can be viewed at our Civic Offices in Swadlincote.
