Etwall Neighbourhood Development Plan

In accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, South Derbyshire District Council is required to publicise the Etwall Neighbourhood Development Plan and invite comments. All comments received will be considered by an Independent Examiner who will decide whether changes need to be made to the plan. The consultation will run from Friday 8th March until 5pm on Friday 19th June 2026.

The Etwall Neighbourhood Development Plan proposes a variety of policies including on housing, heritage assets, green spaces, footpaths and cycle routes.

What happens next and Privacy Notice
Your comments will be forwarded in full to the Inspector.  

Comments will be made publicly available following the close of the consultation however personal details (personal address, signature and contact details) will NOT be made publicly available but will be kept in a secure database and used to notify you of the Plan’s progress as requested.

Neighbourhood Area Designation
 

Notice is given that South Derbyshire District Council has received from Etwall Parish Council an application under Regulation 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 for the Council to designate the area comprising the Parish of Etwall as a neighbourhood area within the meaning of Section 61G of the 1990 Town and Country Planning Act.

The designation of the parish of Etwall as a Neighbourhood Area was agreed by South Derbyshire District Council on 26 January 2023.
