Get Active in the Forest

Get Active in the Forest logo

Get Active in the Forest is a community project, which has been providing physical activity opportunities in South Derbyshire for over 20 years. The aim of Get Active in the Forest is to help you get active, stay healthy, enjoy friendly company and get out in the beautiful countryside of South Derbyshire and the National Forest.

Get Active in The Forest engages local people in activities including walking, cycling, chair based exercise, and outdoor pursuits.

The project oversees the Walk Derbyshire across the District and manages the National Forest Walking Festival in partnership with the National Forest Company.

The Get Active project’s aim is to engage South Derbyshire residents to increase their physical activity levels, but also delivers social and community cohesion through a wide range of volunteers.
