Contract Procedure Rules
South Derbyshire District Council’s Contract Procedure Rules (CPRs) set out the standards and requirements for how the Council conducts procurement and manages contracts. They are designed to ensure that all purchasing activity is transparent, fair, and compliant with the law, including the Public Procurement (Amendment) Act 2023.
The CPRs cover all stages of the procurement process, from identifying the need for goods, services, or works, through to supplier selection, contract award, and ongoing contract management. By following these rules, the Council ensures that public money is spent responsibly, that suppliers are treated fairly, and that all procurement activity demonstrates value for money, accountability, and transparency.
