Travelling by Car
If you are using a Sat Nav, please enter the postcode DE11 0AH to reach the Civic Offices.
South Derbyshire is easily accessible from numerous road networks, including the M1, A50, A38, M6 and M42.
Free parking is available outside the Civic Offices and the adjacent bus station (the bus station car park is unavailable from 6 Jan 2026 for 14 weeks).

.Travelling by public transport
You can use Travel Line to plan a journey on public transport anywhere in the UK.
There is a bus station directly behind the Council offices on Civic Way in Swadlincote. This is connected to Derby city and other surrounding areas.
Cycling
Swadlincote is on National Cycle Route 63 (NCR 63), which runs from Burton all the way to Wisbech via Leicester and Peterborough.
The free cycling hub at Green Bank Leisure Centre, a stone’s throw away from the Civic Offices, means you can leave your bike somewhere safe, get a shower and use the lockers for your clothing.
